Early trial tests repurposed drug for autoimmune dryness disease

Summary

This study is testing the safety and side effects of a drug called tofacitinib in adults with Sjogren's syndrome, an autoimmune disease that causes severe dryness. For about six months, 23 participants will take either the drug or a placebo pill. Researchers will monitor for side effects and see if the drug shows any early signs of helping control the disease.
