This study looked at two medications, tocilizumab and methotrexate, to see which one better prevents major heart problems like heart attacks, strokes, or death in people with giant cell arteritis (GCA). Researchers analyzed data from over 1,600 patients in France who were newly treated with one of these drugs. The goal was to find out which treatment offers better protection for the heart and blood vessels.
