Summary

This study tested whether magnetic brain stimulation (TMS) could help reduce symptoms of obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD). Twenty-six adults with OCD received either real TMS or placebo treatment for six weeks while researchers measured their symptoms. The study also aimed to understand how TMS affects the brain and identify who might benefit most from this treatment approach.
