Brain zaps tested to fight meth addiction in 5 days

NCT ID NCT06320366

Summary

This study is testing whether a short, intensive brain stimulation treatment can help people with moderate to severe methamphetamine addiction. Researchers will give 20 participants either real or fake magnetic stimulation to the brain over 5 days during a brief hospital stay. They'll check if the treatment is safe and tolerable, and measure whether it reduces meth use and cravings over 12 weeks of follow-up.
