First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 25 times

Summary

This study tests a new, intensive type of brain stimulation (called aiTBS) for people aged 65 and older who have depression that hasn't improved with medication and also have memory or thinking issues. The treatment uses a personalized target in the brain and is guided by brain scans. The goal is to see if this approach can reduce depression symptoms better than a fake (sham) treatment.
