First seen Mar 24, 2026 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 10 times

Summary

This study tests a new method to personalize TMS (a brain stimulation therapy) for people with PTSD, with or without mild traumatic brain injury. Researchers will use a brain imaging technique called fNIRS to directly measure brain activity and adjust the TMS dose for each person. The goal is to see if this personalized approach is feasible and could replace the current indirect method, which may lead to incorrect dosing. The study involves 60 adults aged 18-70.
