New combo targets KRAS lung cancer in patients who Can't have surgery

NCT ID NCT07638878

First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This trial is testing a combination of the immunotherapy drug tislelizumab plus two chemotherapy drugs (albumin-bound paclitaxel and a platinum agent) in 30 people with a specific type of lung cancer called KRAS-mutant non-small cell lung cancer. The participants have advanced or metastatic cancer that cannot be removed with surgery. The main goal is to see how many patients' tumors shrink significantly after treatment.

What this could mean

Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.

Active substance

tislelizumab combined with albumin-bound paclitaxel and platinum chemotherapy

What this could lead to

If successful, this could offer a new treatment option for people with KRAS-mutated lung cancer who cannot have surgery, potentially shrinking tumors and extending survival.

What could go wrong

This is a small, early-phase trial with only 30 participants, so results may not apply to everyone. The combination may cause significant side effects, and it is not yet known if it works better than existing treatments.
