Weight-Loss drug tested for patients who regain weight after surgery

NCT ID NCT07382180

Summary

This study looked at how the weight-loss medication tirzepatide works for people in two real-world situations: those who have regained a significant amount of weight after bariatric surgery, and those who need to lose weight before having obesity surgery. Researchers followed 254 adults for 6 months to see how much weight they lost and to check for side effects. All patients received the drug as part of their normal medical care; this was an observational study to see how it performs outside of controlled clinical trials.
