Weight loss drug trial aims to curb cannabis cravings

NCT ID NCT07265752

Summary

This small pilot study is testing whether tirzepatide, a medication currently used for diabetes and weight loss, can help people with severe cannabis addiction. Six participants will receive either the drug or a placebo injection in a random order to see if it reduces their cravings when shown cannabis-related images. The main goal is to measure changes in craving intensity, while also tracking weight, blood sugar, mood, and side effects.
