First seen Feb 14, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 12 times

Summary

This study tests whether tirzepatide, a weight-loss drug, can help eliminate tiny amounts of cancer left after standard treatment in 48 patients with obesity or overweight and a high-risk type of early breast cancer. The goal is to see if weight loss leads to metabolic changes that clear cancer DNA from the blood and prevent the cancer from spreading. Participants will take tirzepatide alongside their usual hormone therapy.
