Summary
This study tested whether adding tirofiban (a powerful anti-clotting drug) to standard aspirin treatment could prevent early worsening or new strokes in people with a specific type of small-vessel stroke. The trial enrolled 970 adults aged 18-80 who had symptoms within the last 48 hours. The goal was to see if the combination was safer and more effective than aspirin alone.
