Stroke drug trial aims to boost brain recovery after clot removal

NCT ID NCT07537933

First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This study tests whether giving a drug called tirofiban directly into the artery right after a clot is removed can help people recover better from a severe stroke. About 344 adults who had a large-vessel blockage stroke will be randomly assigned to receive the drug or not. The main goal is to see if more people can live independently 90 days later, while also checking for bleeding risks.
