Rare liver disease patients get closer look at TIPS benefits

Summary

This study looks at how well a procedure called TIPS works for people with a rare liver disease called Porto-Sinusoidal Vascular Disease (PSVD) that causes high blood pressure in the liver. Researchers will compare 360 patients who had TIPS for PSVD with similar patients who had TIPS for cirrhosis. The goal is to learn about survival and complication rates to guide future treatment decisions.
