Doctors seek better data on risky liver procedure for rare disease
NCT ID NCT07163689
Summary
This study aims to learn more about a procedure called TIPS, which is used to treat severe complications of high blood pressure in the liver. Researchers will look back at medical records to compare how well the TIPS procedure works and how safe it is for patients with a rare liver disease (PSVD) versus patients with more common cirrhosis. The goal is to gather better evidence to help doctors decide when to use this procedure for patients with the rare condition.
