New drug tiprelestat tested against placebo for rare lung disease

Summary
This study tests whether adding the drug tiprelestat to standard treatment helps people with pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH), a serious lung condition that makes the heart work harder. About 90 adults aged 18 to 75 with moderate to severe PAH will receive either tiprelestat or a placebo. The main goal is to see if tiprelestat improves blood flow in the lungs.
