Summary

This study looked at whether the drug tiopronin is safe and can lower a harmful chemical in the brain after a bleeding stroke caused by a burst aneurysm. Sixty adults who had this type of stroke were given either tiopronin or a placebo within 96 hours. The goal was to see if tiopronin could reduce brain injury and improve recovery.
