Summary
This early study tested a new implant device for people with severe, long-lasting tinnitus (ringing in the ears). Nine adults with severe tinnitus received the implant to see if it was safe and could reduce their symptoms. The study focused on safety and measured changes in tinnitus severity using standard questionnaires.
