First seen Feb 03, 2026 · Last updated May 05, 2026 · Updated 10 times

Summary

This study looks at whether a medicine called timolol, usually used for glaucoma, can help surgical wounds heal faster when applied as a gel. About 220 adults who have had skin cancer removal surgery will either use timolol or a standard hydrogel on their wound every day for 12 weeks. Researchers will compare how quickly the wounds close and if there are fewer infections.
