First seen Mar 01, 2026 · Last updated May 08, 2026 · Updated 11 times
Summary
This study looks at whether giving a local anesthetic to the abdominal wall at the start of robotic prostate surgery reduces the amount of strong pain medicine (opioids) needed during the operation compared to giving it at the end. About 50 adults with prostate cancer or benign prostate disease will take part. The goal is to find a way to manage pain with fewer opioids and fewer side effects.
