NCT ID NCT06471582

First seen May 02, 2026 · Last updated May 13, 2026 · Updated 1 time

Summary

This study looks at how exercising without eating first (fasted exercise) may change reproductive hormones and menstrual cycle length in women who regularly run or cycle. Over about 3 months, 64 participants will track their cycles, complete 90-minute exercise sessions either fed or fasted, and provide saliva samples. The goal is to understand how timing of energy intake affects menstrual health, not to treat any condition.
