Can eating on a schedule and working out beat fatty liver disease?

NCT ID NCT05897073

Summary

This study tested whether combining time-restricted eating (eating within a specific daily window) with supervised exercise is more effective at reducing harmful liver fat and improving heart health than doing either one alone. It involved 187 adults with obesity over 12 weeks. Researchers compared the combination approach to each method by itself and to a usual-care group, measuring liver fat with MRI scans and many other health markers.
