First seen Jan 10, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 17 times

Summary

This study looks at the best way to prevent blood clots in people with leg casts or splints after an injury. For those at high risk of clots, it compares pills to standard injections. For those at low risk, it checks if any medication is better than just advice. Over 10,000 participants will be followed for 90 days to see which approach is safest and most cost-effective.
