Scientists test re-engineered immune cells to fight tough head and neck cancers

NCT ID NCT06236425

Summary

This early-stage study is testing the safety of a new combination treatment for people with advanced head and neck cancer that has come back or spread. Doctors take a patient's own immune cells from a tumor, grow and select them in a lab, and then infuse them back along with an immunotherapy drug. The main goal is to see if this approach is safe and tolerable for a small group of patients whose cancer has worsened on standard therapy.
