Summary
This study tested whether giving two blood-thinning drugs (ticagrelor and aspirin) early after a stroke, along with standard clot-busting treatment, helps patients recover better. Over 1,300 adults aged 18-80 with acute ischemic stroke were enrolled. The goal was to see if more patients could regain independence (score 0-1 on the modified Rankin Scale) at 90 days. The approach aims to control disease and improve outcomes, not cure the condition.
