New test during surgery could transform thyroid recovery
NCT ID NCT07381998
Summary
This study tests whether a simple measurement taken during thyroid removal surgery can help create personalized recovery plans. Researchers are comparing standard care against tailored approaches that either reduce unnecessary blood tests for low-risk patients or provide stronger calcium supplements for high-risk patients. The goal is to prevent low calcium complications, improve recovery quality, and potentially shorten hospital stays for 150 participants.
