Could a common thyroid pill protect Kids' hearts?
NCT ID NCT07393165
Summary
This study is testing whether a standard thyroid medication (levothyroxine) can improve heart function in children who have a mild thyroid problem called subclinical hypothyroidism. Researchers will enroll 40 children aged 4 to 15 and measure their heart function before and after treatment. The goal is to see if treating this mild condition helps protect the children's hearts from potential long-term risks.
