Scientists test if strict diet boosts thyroid cancer therapy
NCT ID NCT05599139
Summary
This study aims to find out if following a strict low-iodine diet for 7 days increases how much radioactive iodine the body absorbs. Researchers will measure this in 25 adults who have had surgery for thyroid cancer and are scheduled for radioactive iodine therapy. The goal is to gather evidence on whether this difficult diet actually improves treatment success.
