Scientists probe hidden hormone changes in Life-Threatening septic shock
NCT ID NCT07245550
Summary
This study aims to understand how thyroid and adrenal hormone levels change in ICU patients with septic shock, a severe and often fatal condition. Researchers will measure these hormone levels in 200 patients to see how they relate to the severity of the illness. The goal is to gather knowledge that could help improve future care, but this study itself does not test a treatment.
