New thumb implant aims to restore natural movement for arthritis sufferers

Summary

This study is testing a new implant called InDx for people with thumb arthritis (CMC joint arthritis). The goal is to see if the implant is safe and helps improve hand function and reduce pain. About 73 adults with mild to moderate arthritis will receive the implant and be followed for at least one year. The study does not compare the implant to other treatments.
