Can a mood boost make fear therapy work better?
NCT ID NCT06776991
Summary
This study is testing if a brief treatment to improve mood and reward processing can make standard exposure therapy more effective for people with social anxiety and a specific fear of public speaking. All 94 participants will receive exposure therapy, but first, they will be randomly assigned to either a positive mood treatment or a relaxation treatment. Researchers want to see which preparatory treatment helps people get more benefit from the therapy that follows.
