First seen Feb 02, 2026 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 17 times
Summary
This study will record brain activity from 30 children with drug-resistant epilepsy who are already undergoing a procedure called SEEG to map their seizures. Researchers will place extra electrodes in three deep brain areas to measure how seizures spread and how these areas connect to the rest of the brain. The goal is to find better targets for brain stimulation therapies that could help control seizures in the future.
