New hope for tough brain cancers: early trial tests novel drug combo
NCT ID NCT03224104
Summary
This early-stage study tested a new oral drug called TG02 for treating aggressive brain tumors (anaplastic astrocytoma and glioblastoma). It was given to elderly patients with newly diagnosed tumors alongside standard radiotherapy or chemotherapy, and to adults whose cancer had returned. The main goals were to find the safest dose and see if the treatment could help control the cancer for at least six months.
