ER injection aims to stop repeat asthma crises

NCT ID NCT06705764

Summary

This study is testing if a new monthly injection called Tezepelumab, given right in the Emergency Room, can help control severe asthma attacks and prevent people from needing to return to the ER. It will compare the injection to a placebo in 100 adults with severe asthma who come to the ER with an attack. The main goal is to see if the treatment reduces return ER visits and the need for steroid medications over 90 days.
