Can a simple text save a Veteran's life? study tests caring messages

NCT ID NCT06136234

Summary

This study aims to see if sending caring text messages to stressed or distressed veterans and service members helps reduce their emotional distress and thoughts of suicide. Researchers are comparing two groups: one receives these supportive texts along with the best available resources, while the other receives only the resources. The goal is to understand if this simple, low-cost contact makes a meaningful difference in veterans' well-being.
