Texts vs. AI: which gets seniors moving?

NCT ID NCT07593677

First seen May 20, 2026 · Last updated May 20, 2026

Summary

This study looks at whether motivational text messages written by humans or by artificial intelligence (AI) can help middle-aged and older adults (40+) who are not very active become more physically active. Participants will wear a Fitbit and a thigh monitor, play brain games on their phone, and receive up to 4 text messages a day for 3 months. The goal is to see which type of message works best and how it affects thinking skills and exercise habits.
