New monitor could make surgery safer by timing muscle relaxant exactly

Summary

This study will use a device called TetraGraph to track how quickly the muscle relaxant rocuronium takes effect and wears off in 130 surgery patients. The goal is to find the exact timing for safer breathing tube placement. Participants will be monitored during their procedure, and recovery times will also be recorded when possible.
