Paradoxical approach: giving testosterone to fight prostate cancer
NCT ID NCT06305598
Summary
This early-stage study is testing a counterintuitive approach for men with advanced prostate cancer that has stopped responding to standard hormone-blocking treatments. Researchers are giving patients cycles of testosterone injections to see if rapidly switching between very low and very high hormone levels can slow cancer growth and reduce fatigue. The trial will enroll 14 participants to monitor safety, tumor response, and quality of life changes.
