Fighting fire with fire: High-Testosterone therapy aims to shock resistant prostate cancer

NCT ID NCT06039371

Summary

This study is testing if giving very high doses of testosterone, along with chemotherapy or a targeted radiation drug, can help control advanced prostate cancer that has spread and stopped responding to standard hormone-lowering treatments. The idea is to shock cancer cells that have adapted to low testosterone by flooding them with it, potentially making them more vulnerable to other treatments. The trial will enroll about 69 men to see if this combination is safe and effective at reducing cancer markers and slowing tumor growth.
