New heart procedure tested for irregular heartbeat control
NCT ID NCT07444320
Summary
This study is testing new electrical waveforms delivered through the FARAPULSE system to treat atrial fibrillation, a common irregular heartbeat condition. Researchers will enroll 200 adults with either occasional or persistent atrial fibrillation to evaluate the safety and effectiveness of this new approach. The goal is to see if these new waveforms can successfully create scar tissue in the heart to block the abnormal electrical signals causing the irregular rhythm.
