Summary

This study tests whether paying bonuses to staff at HIV service organizations improves how they deliver a brief counseling method for substance use. It involves 428 staff and clients across the U.S. The main goal is to see if this 'pay-for-performance' strategy leads to more consistent and higher-quality counseling sessions, and whether it helps clients reduce their substance use and anxiety.
