New scan could spot hidden tumors
NCT ID NCT04510311
First seen Jun 27, 2026 ยท Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This early study tested a new radioactive tracer called [18F]3F-PHPG to see if it can help locate neuroendocrine tumors during PET scans. 32 adults with these tumors received the tracer and had two scans. The goal was to check image quality and how the tracer spreads in the body, which could lead to a better way to find and stage these tumors.
