Summary

This study tests a drug called teplizumab in people aged 1 to 25 who were recently diagnosed with type 1 diabetes. The goal is to see if it helps control blood sugar and reduces the need for insulin at mealtimes. Participants receive either teplizumab or a placebo by IV, and researchers track their progress over a year.
