Zapping away biopsy pain: can a simple device make prostate cancer testing easier?

NCT ID NCT07331246

Summary

This study tested whether a TENS device, which uses mild electrical pulses on the skin, could reduce pain for men undergoing a prostate biopsy. Researchers compared real TENS, a fake (placebo) TENS device, and standard local anesthesia alone in 84 participants. The goal was to see if the device made the procedure more comfortable and to check for any side effects.
