First seen Jun 11, 2026 · Last updated Jun 13, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This pilot study tested whether a non-invasive device called TENS (transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation) is safe and practical for treating chronic eye pain. 39 veterans with persistent eye pain for at least 6 months used the device at home for 6 months. The goal was to see if TENS could reduce pain and to prepare for a larger trial.
