First seen Jan 05, 2026 · Last updated Jun 09, 2026 · Updated 21 times

Summary

This study tested a strength training method that uses a cuff to lightly restrict blood flow to the forearm muscles. It was designed for people with tennis elbow (lateral epicondylitis) who find regular high-intensity exercise too painful. The goal was to see if this approach could reduce elbow pain and improve grip strength. The study included 34 adults aged 18 to 45 with confirmed tennis elbow.
