New study pits needles against shock waves to soothe tennis elbow pain

Summary

This study tests two treatments for tennis elbow (lateral epicondylitis) in 60 adults aged 18-65. One group gets ultrasound-guided dry needling, the other gets shock wave therapy, both once a week for five weeks. Everyone also does a home exercise program. The goal is to see which treatment better reduces pain and improves grip strength and quality of life over six months.
