First seen Oct 31, 2025 · Last updated May 08, 2026 · Updated 26 times

Summary

This study looks at whether giving a clot-dissolving drug called tenecteplase before moving patients from one hospital to a stroke center can improve recovery after a severe stroke caused by a blockage in the basilar artery. The trial involves 316 adults who had a stroke 4.5 to 24 hours earlier. The goal is to see if this early treatment helps more people regain independence within 90 days.
