First seen Jan 06, 2026 · Last updated Jun 13, 2026 · Updated 21 times
Summary
This study looks at whether removing a larger area of lymph nodes during kidney cancer surgery can prevent the cancer from returning and help patients live longer. About 220 adults with high-risk kidney cancer will be randomly assigned to get either the more extensive lymph node removal or the standard limited removal. Researchers will track cancer return and survival for up to 10 years after surgery.
