Summary

This study is testing a small telescope-like device that is implanted inside the eye during cataract surgery. It is designed to improve central vision for people who have lost it due to the most advanced stage of age-related macular degeneration (AMD). About 76 participants will receive the implant and be followed for 12 months with eye exams and vision training to see how well it works and how safe it is.
