First seen Feb 05, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 14 times
Summary
This study tested whether telerehabilitation (remote occupational therapy via video calls) can improve the ability of stroke survivors to perform everyday activities like bathing, dressing, and using the phone. Fifteen patients on a waiting list for in-person therapy were randomly assigned to receive remote therapy or continue waiting. The goal was to see if remote guidance could boost independence and use of the affected arm.
